Player Evaluations

Refer to specific details about player evaluations: Player Evaluations (Jan 6-7 2026)

Draft & Player Division Placement

The draft is a crucial part of our league, ensuring that players are placed in the division which best matches their current baseball skills. It also promotes parity across teams, creating fair and balanced rosters that foster healthy competition throughout the season. This process allows every player to be challenged at the right level while contributing to an exciting and equitable experience for all.

All draft-eligible players are assigned to teams through a draft process. T-Ball Minor & T-Ball teams are formed based on requests and, when possible, by players' school affiliations. Upon completion of the draft, rosters shall be considered final. No changes, trades, or adjustments shall be permitted after the draft's conclusion.

For the draft, there are certain mandatory guidelines:
- Players League aged 13-15 must be drafted into the Juniors division, while players League aged 12 are required to be drafted into the Majors division.
- Players League aged 11 cannot be drafted below the AAA division, players League aged 10 cannot be drafted below the AA division, players League aged 9 cannot be drafted below the A division, and players League aged 8 cannot be drafted below the Coach Pitch division.
- Please be advised that while league evaluators may recommend or parents may request placement in a lower division for special circumstances, approval from the EH Board is mandatory for players League aged 11 and under. For players League aged 12, approval from both Little League International and the EH Board is required.

It is also possible that players could be drafted into the same division they played in the previous year, depending on the results of the draft. While we always encourage players to play in their designated League Age Division, League Age 11 players playing in AAA and League Age 10 players playing in AA will be eligible to pitch ONE inning per week (consisting of three outs or an inning ending due to run limit rule).

Equipment Needed

All players will need their own glove. Players are encouraged to have their own bat and batting helmet, but the league will supply one for team use at the T-Ball Minor, T-Ball and Coach Pitch divisions. Boys are required to wear athletic cups. All players need to wear baseball cleats. Baseball pants will be required for practices and games. The coach based on your team uniforms will tell you what color pants, belt, and socks to purchase for game use. Batting gloves are recommended for players beginning in Single A. Your local sporting goods store can assist you in the right sizes based on your players age and division.
