About

EHYLLL is a volunteer organization, and thus, is constantly looking for individuals interested in giving back to the community by volunteering. For those interested in volunteering, indicate the position you are interested in and complete the required steps as part of registration. Volunteers will be contacted by the Safety Officer with additional actions to take.

Requirements

Little League International and the State of California have player safety-related requirements for all adult, volunteers to comply with. The following must be completed by adult, EHYLLL board members, managers, assistant coaches, team parents, and umpires, prior to any league or team events.

Requirement References:
- CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK WITH JDP: Regulation I (b) and (c) (8&9) in the Little League Official Regulations, Playing Rules and Operating Policies, requires volunteers consent to an annual background check and completion of online abuse awareness training. JPD background check is good from Oct 1 of the current year to Sept 30 of the following year.

- LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING: California AB 506 states that volunteers 18 years and older who have direct contact with, or supervision of, children for more than 16 hours per month or 32 hours per year must complete 2 requirements: (1) a fingerprinted background check through the California Department of Justice, and (2) Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter Certification. All Managers, Coaches, Umpires, Team Parents, and Board Members must complete both requirements.
